Area description

The 15th arrondissement is the most populated and one of the largest of Paris. Different from typical central districts crowded with tourists, this area still preserves a well-rooted Parisian tradition embodied by gourmet boulangerie and high-quality food markets. This area features many attractions, among which is a portion of the Montparnasse area and its Jardin Atlantique, located on the train station’s tracks; the Parc André Citroën, one of the city’s most beautiful contemporary parks; and, the La Ruche at “2, Passage de Dantzig", which, for decades, housed the workshops of the twentieth-century’s most important artists. Those who love architecture and one-of-a-kind passageways can visit the Beaugrenelle district, along the Seine River, a few steps from the Eiffel Tower, featuring very tall buildings, towers and structures that deviate from standard Parisian architecture. PUBLIC TRANSPORT: the closest metro station is VAUGIURARD ( Line 12)
